This public service ad features, what I'm sure is
artwork by
Mort Drucker. I believe in the early years of
the series (1948 - Mid 50's) Drucker did all the
artwork for the "Leave It To Binky" comics. Please

I enlarged the upper portion of the advertisement
so you could see a little more detail the the
HORRIBLE job that someone did putting this ad
together. This is one of the worst I've seen.

Free Comic Book Day!

May 2nd is "Free Comic Book Day" - well, actually,
it's the first Saturday in May, which this year
happens to fall on the 2nd. Participating comic
book shops across the country (and from what I
read, around the world) give away comic books FREE
to anyone who comes into their shops. Now, this
doesn't mean that you'll be able to pick up that
Avenger's #2 you've been saving for, as most of the
major comic book publisher's produce a special
edition specifically for today. The point is - take
the family, have fun visiting your local comic book
shop and read your comics!
